DM Pack’s DOM top-fill vertical cartoners are automatic solutions that work with RSC or HSC pre-glued American-type cases. These machines offer an automated, innovative process for packing products in boxes. The DOM cartoning machine automatically opens, fills and closes the cases. Adjustments are motorised and automatic, which make format changes easier. The machine uses a precise pick-and-place system to open and fill various sizes of cases. The cardboard flaps are sealed with tape at the top and bottom. Robotic pick & place systems and hot glue flap closures can also be integrated as additional options. The box is picked up from the large operator-accessible storage area, opened and then deposited on the motorised belts that take it to the filling area. Filling takes place automatically, thanks to the pick & place system, which picks up the products and deposits them precisely inside the box. Depending on the type of product in question, several products can be picked at the same time. The multipack of products, formed by the grouping systems, is then placed in the open box.

The DOM cartoning machine has been designed to be installed downstream of packaging lines or as a stand-alone unit. The pick & place system ensures that products are quickly and accurately picked from the loading conveyor belt, and the boxes are precisely filled. It can work with different types of products and create different configurations within the box, depending on your needs. The machine boasts a compact design with multiple stations to ensure robustness and accessibility. After being filled, the boxes are transported to the outlet and the machine then closes the flaps and seals them with adhesive tape. A hot-glue closure option is also available

Specific characteristics

The DOM top-fill vertical cartoners can work with a variety of box sizes. Standard box measurements range from a minimum of 150 x 150 x 150 mm (W x L x H) to a maximum of 400 x 600 x 400 mm (W x L x H). Please note that these measurements refer to the dimensions of the boxes with their flaps closed. The DOM cartoner is equipped with automated and motorised adjustments to simplify the set-up process. Changing the format is quick and easy. The adjustable parts are easily accessible and the movements are guided by dovetail guides and recirculating ball bearings. The machine is operated by a user-friendly Siemens PLC which offers an intuitive interface for managing and controlling the case-packing process.
