Automatic cartoner
DM Pack's GEA automated case-packing machine is a highly automated option for packaging single or multipack products using pre-glued boxes. Its main function is to carefully and precisely release closed pre-glued cardboard boxes from the storage area, then open them and insert the product inside. Insertion is achieved by means of one (in the case of the intermittent version) or more pushers (in the continuous version), which operate on a parallel lane. The side flaps can be closed by applying a dab of glue or by means of the interlocking 'tuck-in' system (as an option). Available in intermittent (up to 35 ppm) and continuous (80 to 150 ppm) versions.
The machine is equipped with an intuitive SIEMENS or OMRON touchscreen, which facilitates recipe-based programming. Simple mechanical handwheels and a digital counter make changing the three case sizes easy, fast and repeatable. Most adjustments are motorised, electrical or saveable, further simplifying the case changeover process.
The GEA case-packing machine is available in a standard painted steel version, but a stainless steel version is also available for environments requiring corrosion resistance. In the stainless steel version, the chains, pulleys and sprockets are nickel-plated, whereas in the standard version, they are galvanised.
