The TRON 4 SIDES OPEN automated linear robot palletiser is part of our range of linear robot palletisers, designed to satisfy customer requirements in terms of speed, dimensions and final configuration. It is built on a robust supporting structure, and offers high accessibility and safety, thanks to the light curtains which allow the operator to intervene safely, should this be necessary. The picking (pick & place) head, which can be customised according to the type of product to be palletised, ensures gentle handling and correct positioning before final placement. The main features of the TRON linear robot palletisers are their compact design, small footprint, precision and ease of use.

General characteristics

The TRON 4-SIDE OPEN linear robot palletiser is available in single and multi-bay configurations, while the compact version is only available with a single bay. This new-generation model has been designed to offer a small footprint, ease of use and an affordable price. The sturdy supporting structure houses the recirculating ball bearing guides on which the loader moves, an arm fitted with a picking head that allows the products to be easily picked up. The loader moves along linear robot axes X, Y and Z, and is driven by brushless or asynchronous motors with inverters, depending on the required speed and precision. According to the programme set, the loader positions itself at the pick-up point and lifts the product by means of a picking head equipped with a vacuum suction system, suction cup system or gripper system, depending on the type and weight of the object in question.

The palletiser can be configured as a 'GROUND PALLET', where the empty pallet is manually positioned inside a ground-fixed template by an operator with a pallet truck. The filled pallet is picked up in the same way: using the operator-driven pallet truck.

Specific characteristics

The overall dimensions of the TRON 4 SIDES OPEN palletiser start at 2200 x 1350 mm (L x W) and, depending on the pallet, the height can reach up to 2700 mm, including the pallet. It can work with all types of pallets (the compact version: 800 x 1200 mm and 1000 x 1200 mm). The maximum height can be up to 1750 mm (including the pallet) and 2700 mm (including the pallet), with special versions reaching up to 3000 mm. The movement speed can reach up to 10 movements per minute.

The picking head can be equipped with suction cups, grippers or a vacuum suction system, depending on the type of object being palletised. The size of processable products range from a minimum of 90 x 150 x 100 mm (L x W x H) to a maximum of 400 x 600 x 600 mm (L x W x H).

Several options are available for the 4 sides open version of the TRON palletiser, including an additional bay, an interlay storage area, a pallet pick-up storage area, roller conveyors to automatically load and unload the empty and full pallet, pallet wrappers and depalletising systems.
